Luxury hospitality company Barrière is slated to make its U.S. debut next year with the launch ofHôtelBarrièreFouquet’sNewYork. Located in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood, the eight-story hotel will capture the brand’s Parisian panache as well as the cool air of downtown New York thanks to a design concept byMartinBrudnizki.“We’ve brought together high glamour, color, and elegance in a modern and timeless design whilst leaning on the building’s architecture which blends seamlessly into the Tribeca landscape, with its unique downtown feeling,” says Brudnizki. “Parisian and French accents can be found in the rich materiality and color palettes whilst a carefully curated art collection heavily features local artists and has an urban and gritty appeal.”Nearly 100 residential-style guestrooms and suites will be housed onsite. F&B options will include a new outpost of Fouquet’s, the brand’s signature French brasserie. Other amenities will include a screening room, rooftop terrace, and Spa Diane Barrière, which will be home to a spa pool.Mohair velvet upholstery and high gloss burr walnut joinery will line the interiors along with a sleek veneer in reception and antique mirror detailing. Custom chandeliers will also dramatically illuminate traditional herringbone floor and limestone details. “Our layered approach creates a welcoming and warm atmosphere that will make the new hotel feel as though it has always been a part of the Tribeca landscape,” Brudnizki says of the interior design.“In the New York world of statement skyscrapers, Hôtel Barrière Fouquet’s New York is a chic reminder of intimate elegance and the comfort and familiarity that comes with it,” Brudnizki adds.
