The passing of Memorial Day weekend means that summer is unofficially-officially underway. Translation: Time to start dreaming about our summer travel bucket lists. And while a quick jaunt to France might not be in the cards for all of us, the new rooftop escape at Fouquet’s New York, Le Vaux, will serve up a luxurious French escape right in the heart of Tribeca when it opens on Monday, June 5.

Inspired by the famous gardens of Vaux-Le-Vicomte and Versailles, the sprawling rooftop brings a luxe, Parisian jardin feel, meshing verdant flora with chic palette of sage green and lavender. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, the 46-seat haven will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. And for those who find some of NYC’s bustling rooftop scene stressful, not to worry—Le Vaux’s sophisticated spaces are only accessible to members and guests of the hotel, adding an element of serene exclusivity to the proceedings.

In addition to a selection of artfully crafted cocktails like the Lychee Rose, the Tokyo Ball, and Gardena Beach, Le Vaux will offer an elegant al fresco dining experience with a menu full of creative takes, like their innovative twists on skewers with flavors like lobster and asparagus, wagyu beef with shishito peppers, king crab Tsukune-style, and chicken and scallion, and refreshing, summery bites like hamachi and akami tuna crudo.

Le Vaux joins Fouquet’s New York’s already impressive roster of dining and drink options, including Brasserie Fouquet’s, which brings a taste of its century-plus old namesake on the Champs Élysées; Par Ici Café for casual dining, and the Titsou Bar. Add to that the hotel’s glamorous event spaces, spa powered by the French cult classic beauty brand Biologique Recherche, and Dogpound fitness center, and it’s a perfect little French getaway, no passport required.
